Sustainable Energy – Challenges & Solutions
Posted on: 17/03/2023
The world is seeing rapid changes in the provision of renewable energy. Technologies such as solar power and the production of biogas are experiencing innovation that makes them increasingly viable as alternatives to fossil fuels.
Increased evidence of the climate crisis and concerns to solve ecological problems before it’s too late, means that these changes are racing ahead.
However, with all these changes come a set of innate challenges. One of the most pressing issues is intermittency. What happens when the wind stops blowing or the sun stops shining?
Another challenge is the urgent need for investment to get such projects off the ground. Initially, government support through schemes and subsidies boosted the necessary investment, but many of these arrangements are no longer in place.
“Sustainable Energy: Challenges and Solutions”, is Executive TV’s latest programme, seeking to not only discuss these challenges but also offer viable solutions, backed by the analysis of key industry experts.
ALPS Ecoscience develop environmentally sustainable ways of managing organic contamination and purifying water, setting the foundations for a lower carbon future.
Castletown Law provide legal and commercial advice, specialising in the energy and infrastructure sector.
Innova deliver a wide range of renewable energy solutions to positively improve the environment.
“Sustainable Energy: Challenges and Solutions” will be first broadcast on SKY Digital 181 on Sunday 19th March @10.30 (am), then again on Sunday 23rd April @ 10.30 (am) on SKY Digital 181.
After the initial broadcast, the programme will be available at http://www.executivetv.org/ with the rest of our digital archive.
