Innovation and Sustainability – An Industrial Perspective

Posted on: 10/03/2023

With the ever-growing concern for pressing issues such as climate change, and the need to switch to more sustainable energy systems and working practices, companies across industry are embracing innovation to push for positive change.

Industries as diverse as aviation, machinery and chemical production are now looking to new technologies – with some exciting results. The use of biogas to generate energy, the possible use of hydrogen to replace both petrol and gas, and the use of electric vehicles are all positive moves towards a more ecological, sustainable future.

However, many in industry feel that this cannot be done without government leadership and support on a global scale.

Industries such as aviation have already made impressive progress, with substantial reductions in their carbon footprint and improvements in their working practices, particularly with the use of advancements in artificial intelligence and digitisation.

However, to meet challenging targets such as net zero carbon emissions by 2050, it is clear that for the radical changes needed, both industry and government must work together to adopt innovation for a better and more ecologically friendly future.

These pressing issues are the subject of Executive TV’s latest special programme, “Innovation and Sustainability  – An Industrial Perspective.” It features in depth discussion and analysis from key players in industry.

Featured in the programme will be:

AJW Group are a specialist in the supply, exchange, maintenance, repair, and lease of commercial and business aircraft spare parts.

A & S International is a specialist lubrication consultancy with global distribution.

Vogelsang are a leader in agricultural technology, biogas, industry, transportation and wastewater.

SulNOx Group specialises in providing responsible solutions towards decarbonisation of liquid hydrocarbon fuels.

“Innovation and Sustainability  – An Industrial Perspective” will be first broadcast on Sunday 12th March @ 10.30 (am) on SKY Digital channel 181, then again on Sunday 30th April @ 10:30 (am)

After the initial broadcast, the programme will be available at http://www.executivetv.org/ with the rest of our digital archive.
