Data in Healthcare

Posted on: 16/12/2022

The role of accurate and reliable data in healthcare is vital. Medical practitioners need to quickly and efficiently decide who gets seen and when – and in some cases, who needs to be treated immediately.

However, many vital records held by the NHS are still paper – based, which is vastly inefficient. The situation is so serious that the government has drawn up a strategy to face this problem, entitled “Data saves lives”

The issues around data in healthcare can potentially affect us all. Without reliable, accurate and efficient use of data, vital systems can cease to function.

The NHS in particular is currently dealing with vast amounts of patients, and in turn huge waiting lists are being generated. The reality is becoming clear that the need for digitisation in public health is now becoming unavoidable.

How these challenges are being met is the subject of Executive TV’s latest programme, “Data in Healthcare” with expert views and discussion from leading figures in healthcare technology.

Thomson Screening are a leading supplier of software for a range of medical applications, including screening and data management. Their products are designed to address healthcare, education and workplace needs around the world.

Insource are a provider of data management to the NHS, with services including an advanced data management platform. Insource aims to empower its users to harness the power of data to make better decisions and streamline processes to improve medical care standards.

“Data in Healthcare” will be first broadcast on Sunday 18th December @ 10.00 (am) on SKY Digital channel 181, then again on Sunday 5th February (2023) @ 10.00 (am)

After the initial broadcast, the programme will be available at http://www.executivetv.org/ with the rest of our digital archive.
