Building the Future: Building Regulations

Posted on: 09/09/2022

Building regulations have been transformed over the last few decades, and the introduction of strict changes mean some working practices are now almost unrecognisable from those of past generations. As a result of his radical change, new buildings, conversions, renovations, and extensions, both domestic and commercial, will be safe, healthy, and perform well in the future.

There are many factors which have contributed to this overhaul in regulation and continue to influence it to this day. From catastrophic events promoting changes in health and safety requirements, to business trends such as the environmental agenda and digital transformation impacting decision making when it comes to implementation. Executive TV will explore these factors in detail in our documentary ‘Building regulations’ with analysis from industry experts:

(BSA) Bernard Sims Associates is one of the UK’s longest-established independent health and safety consultancies. BSA are dedicated to creating a safety culture within businesses, reducing costs, downtime and increasing staff well-being.

Eurocell are a market-leading manufacturer of building products such as PVC-U roofline, conservatory roof, window trim and door products, as well as all the fixings, sealants and tools required for every building plastics job.

Global HSE Solutions Limited specialise in providing fire safety and passive fire protection from project conception, through construction to remedial works. With experience across a range of industries and building types, including construction, hospitality, housing, education and commercial.

‘Building Regulations’ will be first broadcast on  SKY digital 181, Sunday 11th September @10.30am and then again on SKY digital 181 Sunday 2nd October @10.30am.

After the initial broadcast, the programme will be available at http://www.executivetv.org/ with the rest of our digital archive.
