DIGITAL EFFICIENCY
Posted on: 17/05/2019
For the public sector, there are more IT services and solutions to choose from than ever, as well as cloud-based business solutions and apps. In recent years, we have seen cloud computing become the norm for public bodies along with the public sector as a whole. Cloud-based solutions are no longer a novelty but expected. End users and individual customers are the ones benefitting from these advancements the most. As more bodies adopt cloud technology, the services they deliver to the public become more reliable and efficient. However, for individual public organisations, finding the right solution is not always easy. They are confronted with citizen’s expectations to deliver enhanced, comprehensive services. Threats such as cybercrime must be countered by greater collaboration within and across public safety and security departments. Moreover, organisations must achieve these objectives while increasing efficiency and balancing budgets. In Digital Efficiency, the latest programme in our Digitalisation of the Public Sectorseries, we look at how digitalisation is opening up new horizons for the public sector by offering new, streamlined and integrated IT solutions.
In this programme, we hear from a range of companies who are working with the public sector to provide innovative software solutions. We are Lean and Agile to create market-leading software that is designed to help you improve processes and workflow. Execview’s cloud-based enterprise management software allows you to plan and manage complex portfolios, programmes, projects, service delivery and operational services. BoardEffect allows truly easy management of board information, while also enabling board directors to fulfil their responsibility of elevating organisational performance. We also hear from Sedgemoor District Council and David Witts Independent Consultancy who have partnered with these companies to drive Digital Efficiency.
The public sector will have to make considerable progress in digitalization and cutting edge IT solutions, if it is to keep up and now, is the time to do so. Tailored IT solutions, state-of-the-art network infrastructure and scalable, cloud-based solutions will play a pivotal part. IT is key to reengineering and streamlining processes – and, as such, it will be critical in future efforts to modernize government bodies.
Digital Efficiency will be the first broadcast on Sky Channel 191 on Sunday 19th May at 10.00am and repeated on Sunday 9th June at 10.00am. After the initial broadcast, the programme will then be available online at http://www.executivetv.org with the rest of our digital archive.
